GRAPHIC DESIGN

Graphic design, print, packaging, trade shows, visitor centers, infographics, interpretive maps, websites, and especially identity packages for companies of all sizes. This grouping is a small collection of work for many types of clients and companies over the years.

PRINT

I get pleasure from a well made file. Not only does the design of a printed product make me feel great, but knowing it is built efficiently and competently, gives me such a sense of accomplishment and pride. When a printer appreciates the care that goes into providing the files at such a planned and perfect way, I feel like I am playing on a team and doing my part from top to bottom.

EXHIBIT

Working to scale, designing a space both graphically and architecturally while giving expression to an environment. This visual space can be lifestyle or sales it doesn’t matter to me. This exhibit design environment is fulfilling and challenging because there are so many players. Those that specify the space for me, and those that produce these large graphics have to work well together. I am a designer in the middle, trying to deliver a well made experience.

IDENTITY

Probably the purest form of design is when you are commissioned to make an identifying mark for a product or company. To take many variables and refine them into a simple design that encompasses the totality of something can be one of the more gratifying experiences. I love the subtlety of compacting so much into one efficient space.

WEB

I am a bit of a latecomer of sorts when it comes to web design. Ironically, not because I haven’t been involved with it for many years, but the fact that this area of design is such a moving target! Being so print oriented in my focus, whenever a web project was included with a design package, my feeling is that I am always challenged to define the way a site should be built. It seems like the various languages of code are constantly evolving, while calling for extra in-depth knowledge. I have settled in with a few very good developers and methods to deliver what is required by each of my clients.
